Hello friends.. after more than 5 decades of research on knee replacement we have realised the importance of knee preservation. Uni-compartmental knee replacement (UKR) is a Bone and Tissue Preserving procedure. Also known as partial knee replacement, it is a surgical intervention focused on replacing solely the impaired surfaces of one compartment of the knee (Medial or Lateral), typically caused by severe arthritis. During this procedure, metal and plastic implants are employed to resurface the damaged cartilage and underlying bones in a specific area of the knee.
